Privacy policy
Hallcast ("we", "us", or "our") operates hallcast.app and app.hallcast.app. This policy explains what information we collect and how we use it.
What we collect
When you sign in with Google or Microsoft, we receive your name, email address, and profile photo from your identity provider. We store this to create and manage your account. We do not collect passwords.
We collect the content you upload, the schedules you create, and the display configurations you manage as part of operating the service.
How we use it
We use your information solely to operate Hallcast. We do not sell your data, share it with advertisers, or use it for any purpose other than providing the service.
Storage
Data is stored on servers in the United States (DigitalOcean) and in Cloudflare's infrastructure. Uploaded media files are stored in Cloudflare R2 object storage.
Third-party services
Hallcast uses the following third-party services to operate:
- Google OAuth — for sign-in via Google accounts
- Microsoft Entra — for sign-in via Microsoft accounts
- DigitalOcean — for server and database hosting
- Cloudflare — for DNS, CDN, and media storage
Each of these services has its own privacy policy. We only share the minimum information necessary for them to function.
Beta software
Hallcast is currently in beta. Data handling practices may evolve as the product develops. We will update this policy when they do and note the date at the top of this page.
Your rights
You may request deletion of your account and all associated data at any time by contacting us at info@hallcast.app. We will process deletion requests within 30 days.
Cookies
Hallcast uses a single session cookie to keep you signed in. This cookie is essential to the operation of the service and is not used for tracking or advertising purposes.
